Men in the USA have been arrested in front of U. S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers this month as a result of a shipment of counterfeit Viagra from India.
CBP said on June 11, 2023 that the shipment of a counterfeit version of the popular erectile dysfunction drug was intercepted at a Brooklyn, N. Y.-area pharmacy.
According to the CBP report, the counterfeit Viagra was found to be containing an “unsubstantial amount of undeclared ingredients, including undeclared sildenafil citrate, undeclared tadalafil, and undisclosed amounts of sildenafil citrate.”
The product was labeled as a “Viagra product.”
On June 12, 2023, the CBP agents intercepted an illegal shipment of an erectile dysfunction medication for sale in the United States, the report said.
The medication was also found to contain undeclared Viagra, a prescription drug, as well as counterfeit Viagra. The agents said the counterfeit product was shipped from India with the intent to peddle and sell it to buyers on the Internet.
The agent said the counterfeit Viagra was sent to a customer in the United States and received a package containing a lot of counterfeit Viagra pills, but the package contained no more than 2,000 tablets. The package was not labeled to contain a drug and was not accompanied by any prescription drug information.
According to the CBP report, the product was packaged in bottles of 100, 200, and 300 tablets, and labeled “Viagra.” The agent said the packaging of the medication and the contents were all labeled “Viagra.”
The CBP agents also noted that the package was labeled as “Viagra” because the label on the package showed that the medication was available in multiple dosages. The agent said the package was then sent to another customer in the United States and had no reference to the counterfeit medication.
CBP said that since the shipment was made in the United States, there was no proof that the FDA had approved the medication.
According to CBP’s report, on June 25, 2023, the FDA approved the prescription drug sildenafil citrate as a treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED), which has been linked to up to 30,000 cases of ED since the drug was first approved in 1998.
According to the FDA, “Viagra is a prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis, facilitating the achievement and maintenance of an erection.”
The FDA also noted that the medication is not recommended for use in women and children. The FDA said that the use of the medication in these individuals is not recommended and does not appear to be linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular events or an increased risk of certain types of cancer.
The FDA said that in a statement, “A causal relationship between the prescription of sildenafil citrate and erectile dysfunction has not been established.”
The FDA said it was not aware of any connection between the counterfeit Viagra and the shipment of the counterfeit product. It said that the counterfeit product was sent to a customer in the United States and had no reference to the drug and was not accompanied by any prescription drug information.
In response, C& AP said in a statement that “CBP was notified of this shipment on June 25, 2023, and will not be held accountable for this.”
CBP said that “CBP’s mission is to provide needed, high quality, safe and effective medicines to our customers.”
According to the CBP report, the counterfeit product was found to contain “approximately 1.5 million counterfeit, substandard, or fake Viagra tablets.” The FDA said that it was not aware of any connection between the counterfeit Viagra and the shipment of the counterfeit product.
The FDA said that on June 15, 2023, the FDA’s laboratory analysis showed that the product was found to contain undeclared Sildenafil Citrate, the undeclared active ingredient in Viagra, the FDA said.
The FDA said that on June 17, 2023, the FDA’s laboratory analysis showed that the product was found to contain “approximately 6,000 counterfeit, substandard, or fake Sildenafil Citrate tablets.
The cheapest erectile dysfunction (ED) pills are generic Viagra, called.
The term "generic" refers to the active ingredient of a medicine or drug rather than to the advertised brand name under which the medicine is sold. It is a term referring to any drug marketed under its chemical name without advertising.
Pfizer made the originaltablet that is often referred to as the “blue pill”.The patent expired in 2013 which then allowed other pharmaceutical manufactures to make a generic version under the name of the active ingredient called Sildenafil. They are exactly the same medically and perform in the same way with the same side-effects.
As with most branded products, Viagra is sold at a higher price, therefore the generic tablets sold asare much cheaper.
Medically there is no difference between a generic medicine and the branded medicine, as they both have the same active ingredients to make them perform in the same way. They only differ in the “bulking” agents used to fill the tablet as the amount of active ingredient required, in this case Sildenafil, is very small. This makes the tablets bigger and easier to handle.
The main difference between generic andbranded named prescription medicines is cost with generics being much cheaper
Every pharmacy can choose what price they sell at, as there are no fixed prices. It will depend on what price the pharmacy can buy the drug from the wholesaler and the cost of their own overheads. They can they decide what mark-up they require and some pharmacies choose to sell some products at higher prices.

All the pharmaceutical companies are inspected by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to ensure they manufacturer the drugs to the same quality standard. This means that the key ingredient that is referred to as the “active” ingredient is exactly the same in all brands.
The other inactive ingredients that make up the bulk of the tablet are called “excipients” and can vary.
For those people who are allergic to or have an intolerance to lactose, then the is ideal for you as it is lactose free. You can check the additional excipients on the patient information leaflet supplied with your tablets.
Although medically all the generic tablets are identical, they may look different as they can vary in colour, shape and size due to the varying excipients.

Viagra 150mg tablet contains an active component such as Sildenafil. This medication is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It contains the active ingredient sildenafil citrate, which belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It increases blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which helps men achieve and maintain an erection. Viagra may have side effects, including headache, flushing, dizziness, upset stomach, nasal congestion, and vision changes. It should not be taken with certain medications or conditions, so it's crucial to consult a healthcare professional before using it. Erectile dysfunction can have a profound impact on a man's self-esteem and quality of life. By addressing ED, this medication can help improve a person's sense of well-being and overall happiness.
Individuals with a history of cardiovascular diseases, such as heart problems (angina, heart failure, irregular heartbeats) or recent heart attack, should exercise caution when using Viagra. The sexual activity itself can strain the heart and can further increase the strain by increasing blood flow. Consult with a healthcare professional to assess the risks and benefits in such cases. This medication can cause a mild decrease in blood pressure. Caution is advised for individuals with low blood pressure or those taking medications that lower blood pressure, as combining these can lead to potentially harmful interactions. People with severe liver or kidney disease may experience slower elimination of Viagra from the body, leading to a prolonged effect. Dosage adjustments may be necessary in such cases.
